Willisau is a small country town in the central Swiss canton of Lucerne. The local bakers have secured the right that only "Ringli" made in the town itself are considered "genuine Willisauer Ringli". The very, very hard ring-shaped pastry with the typical lemon-honey taste can be enjoyed in three ways: Brave ones with strong teeth bite it; others break it and let it slowly melt on the tongue; and the third set of people soften it in coffee, tea or milk.
