The Story
Matte Distillery, Bern Switzerland
In the centre of the distillery is the 1000 litre boiler. In it the Matte Absinthe and Matte Dry Gin is distilled. From the processing of the vermouth, over the distillation to the bottling and labelling, all steps are done by hand. A part of the wormwood plants is planted in Bern, others come from the Val de Travers in Boveresse.
We also offer workshops, team events and guided tours on the subject of distillate production and tasting.
